Dashworks is an AI knowledge assistant and productivity platform designed to empower employees and streamline knowledge discovery. Their product provides instant and precise answers by searching across all company applications and chat history, effectively automating repetitive Q&A. The platform emphasizes universal search and reliable references, positioning itself as a secure, scalable, and affordable solution for businesses of all sizes.
Challenge
Needs included complex visuals and animations, optimization of interactive visuals, overcoming Webflow CMS limitations for blog functionality, robust responsive design, safe implementation, and addressing complex user experience (UX) and technical integrations.
Outcomes
Website redesign and implementation with comprehensive design and development upgrades for key pages. Creation of sophisticated animations integrated as JSONs and Vimeos into the Webflo site. Ensuring responsiveness and aesthetic improvements across the site. Addressing critical technical bugs. Animation and visual optimization. Content Management System enhancements via programmatic insertion of elements. Employing a methodical and strategic approach for backups, isolated classes and separated pre-launch work for quality assurance.
We helped Dashworks' comprehensive digital transformation initiatives by elevating their online presence and optimizing user experience on the Webflow platform. The project addressed several critical needs, including resolving numerous design and technical inconsistencies such as covered texts, mobile responsiveness issues across various breakpoints, image distortions, and navigation bar display problems. Our strategic approach involved meticulous quality assurance, the implementation of isolated classes for safe, targeted modifications to prevent site-wide disruptions, and iterative development for key pages like the Homepage, Product, Solutions, and Blog. Furthermore, we tackled Webflow CMS limitations by integrating custom code solutions for dynamic elements like in-article calls-to-action and content highlights, along with optimizing visuals using Cavalry for animations and Vimeo for video hosting.
The Challenge
Dashworks presented the agency with significant challenges, notably in pushing Webflow's capabilities for dynamic content and complex interactions. A key hurdle was implementing sophisticated animations like interactive search visuals and chat experiences, requiring alternative tools like Cavalry due to the limitations of Webflow's native interactions. Furthermore, designing a flexible blog interface proved interesting, as it necessitated custom solutions for dynamic elements such as a Table of Contents, in-article highlights, and programmatic CTA insertions, which Webflow's CMS couldn't natively preview or support. The project also involved consistent effort to ensure robust responsive design across numerous breakpoints and managing Webflow's "all-or-nothing" publishing model safely.
The Solution
atQuo addressed the project challenges by leveraging Cavalry to produce advanced animations, exporting them as MP4s or flexible Lottie JSONs for complex scroll-triggered effects and transparent backgrounds, enhancing visual engagement. We developed custom scripts and programmatic solutions to overcome Webflow CMS limitations for the blog, enabling dynamic Table of Contents, in-article highlights using [highlight] tags, and precise placement of calls-to-action with placeholders like {{signup}}. To ensure safe and controlled updates, especially with Webflow's site-wide publishing, atQuo meticulously isolated classes with unique IDs for specific sections and worked within password-protected "WIP quo" folders, preventing unintended site-wide changes during development. We also implemented solutions for complex UX issues, such as fixing automatic tab conflicts and ensuring mobile menus closed on anchor link clicks.
